Travel teaches to you to expand your comfort zones. This picture of the Cloud Gate in Chicago represents how travel has changed me to be more flexible and go with the flow. We weren’t supposed to visit Chicago; it was just supposed to be a short layover during our flight from Dublin. However, Mother Nature had different plans and our flight was cancelled until the next day. The old me probably would have been pretty frustrated with that development and while I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the change, I quickly booked a hotel online with our reward points and scheduled an airport pick-up. We decided to make the most of our one night in town and took the elevated train downtown and explored The Windy City. Travel can drive you crazy or you can take difficulties and look at them as opportunities. Chicago was not a place very high up on our travel wishes, but because of the delay we were able to visit Willis Tower, Navy Pier, Cloud Gate, and eat a genuine deep dish pizza.
